Contact by email

If you contact me by email, I process the information you provide to handle and respond to your enquiry. This includes, in particular, your email address, the content of your message and any contact details you provide. Communication takes place through my business email account.

For enquiries relating to a contract or steps prior to entering into a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other business enquiries are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is in handling incoming communications.

Storage and deletion

Enquiries and related emails are retained for as long as needed to handle the correspondence and any follow-up questions. Completed enquiries are reviewed and deleted unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons require further storage. Where statutory retention obligations apply, use is restricted to that purpose. You can contact the controller to request deletion.

Technical hosting

This is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages. When you visit it, GitHub processes the connection data needed to deliver and secure the site. GitHub states that IP addresses are stored for security purposes, regardless of whether visitors are signed in to GitHub. The purpose is reliable and secure operation; the legal basis for using this hosting service is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You can find more information about processing by GitHub, including possible international transfers, in the GitHub Privacy Statement and the information about GitHub Pages. Storage exclusively in Germany or the EU is not guaranteed.

Fonts and other services

The fonts used are embedded locally in the website. No fonts are requested from external font providers to display the site. The website does not integrate advertising or analytics tools or newsletter services.

Color scheme

If you select “Dark” or “Light”, your browser stores the choice locally so that it is retained for your next visit. This setting is not sent to a server. Selecting “System” removes the saved choice and follows your device setting again.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please contact the controller to exercise these rights. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
